This year, JDRF Illinois, Ford Motor Company Fund, and Project S.N.A.P. are partnering together again to create another giant
mosaic mural out of the drawings of JDRF Illinois children and families and members of the JDRF Illinois community.
This year, 2 mosaic murals will be created. One mosaic mural will be a 2'x3' tribute to Ron Santo that will be auctioned at the 32nd JDRF Illinois Chance of a Lifetime Gala on December 10, 2011 to support JDRF Illinois. The second, will be a giant 4'x6' mosaic donated to Children's Memorial Hospital to be put on public display for the entire community to view and enjoy.
People living with type 1 diabetes, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors and friends are invited to participate in the creation of this giant mosaic by creating artwork that will make up the "big picture". If you create artwork for the mosaic you will be able to visit the Project S.N.A.P. Online Art Museum in December to see your picture with the exact row and column location.

| As the number one children’s hospital in Illinois, Children’s Memorial provides more care to more young people than any other Chicago-area hospital or medical center. Children’s Memorial has embarked on the most important journey in its history, the creation of the state of the art Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Opening June 9, 2012, Lurie Children’s will reshape the delivery of care for future generations of children. |
