Project S.N.A.P. and Anniversaries: West Bloomfield Township’s 175th
Jan 6th, 2009 | By Michael | Category: Lead ArticleProject S.N.A.P. recently partnered with West Bloomfield Township to create a large scale mosaic mural honoring the Township’s 175th Anniversary. The project was designed to give every member of the community an opportunity to create artwork that expressed their thoughts and feelings about what living in West Bloomfield meant to them.
The project was designed to be completely inclusive and every member of the community including people who live or work in the Township were invited to participate. The final mosaic mural contains thousands of images and includes artwork from children of all ages ranging from pre-school through high school from across the school district. Artwork contributions were also made by business leaders, members of the community, senior groups, non profit organizations, and civic leaders.
This Project S.N.A.P. Community Mosaic Mural was sponsored by The Friends of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library and is on display at the West Bloomfield Township Public Library so that everyone from the community and its visitors can come to enjoy both the small artworks and and a view of the big picture message that illustrates why after 175 years, West Bloomfield is still a great place to live, work and play!
