JDRF Illinois - Explore

Serai G
8th
Row 39 Col 34

I drew this picture because the word "Explore" is balloons floating in the sky where people are searching for a cure. I made the picture colorful because balloons are colorful, and I want those with diabetes to be happy. I hope that this small gesture puts a smile on the face of anyone with Type 1 Diabetes. Diabetes has affected my life because I have family, friends, and students who have Type 1, and i want them to lead a normal life like everyone else. I have participated in Color for the Cure with the students of Nathan Hale Middle School for the past 7 years, and I feel privileged to work with Project S.N.A.P. and Ford Motor Company to bring awareness to my students and the public.
