Artist's Statement

I drew this picture because we need to find a cure for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This picture means a lot to me because my grandma has type 2 diabetes. Diabetes has affected me because my grandma's sugar level drops and she has fallen down the stairs. She has hit her head and it's really sad to hear that because she might die one day from a big fall. I decided to participate because it's a very good thing to know because if someone you know has it and their blood sugar drops, you know what to do, instead of acting like it's normal because you don't know what's happening.
