Artist's Statement

I drew this picture because at the beach, people explore the water and the sand. Also, everyone can enjoy a day at the beach, no matter if you have diabetes or not. This picture means to me that it is a nice cool day at the beach and nobody has to worry about the problems in their life. Diabetes has affected my life because my friend's sister has diabetes, and my great grandma has diabetes. I participated because I want to help find a cure for diabetes, and I want to help all of those who have diabetes.
